Currently Edition 5

I am the worst.  I tried to be a blogger, tried to be a writer but I just don't have time, energy or enough creative juices going through my brain that are devoted to writing as of the last couple of years.  I don't know what it is, but it's ok! I  have been putting my energy toward making a home, cooking new recipes, life changes, PLANNING A WEDDING, basking in my best friends' wedding planning (I am a grooms-gal!) and enjoying living.  However, I do enjoy these Currently  blog posts because it's fun to look back at what I happened to be into.... so here goes #5! Drinking Well..I am a water FIEND. I'm telling you... I think I log just shy of a gallon every day.  Maybe I reach a gallon at least.  All I know is that my  Swell water bottle  is my pride and joy and goes with me every where.  And I frequent my offices water station so many times a day to a. get steps, b. move away from the computer screen and c. get that H2O in my system! Also, my fiance has b

ENGAGED!

Well...if you hate love stuff go ahead and exit out of here.  But for my own sake, I want to document this moment that I just experienced on May 19th, a moment I think every girl thinks about throughout their lives, boys probably do too. On May 18th, my now fiancĂ©, Alex and I hit the road to head east out of the city, out of the hustle bustle and to a National Park, Joshua Tree.  I had always wanted to go, it's in our back yard after all and it's a NATIONAL PARK which seems like a big deal, no?  ANYWAY...we made a couple of stops on the way there because I used to live in between LA and Palm Springs so I wanted to show Alex my old house, my favorite places to hang out and my old stomping grounds.  We finally got out to the desert and checked into our cute little Air BNB called The Lost Coyote Cabin.  Our evening progressed as it would on any get-away, we got food, we got drinks, we explored and then went home to our cabin where we lit a fire in the backyard in the fi

Giving & Thanks

Well....INSPO from one of my favorite bloggers whom I feel like I am friends with even though we have never met personally but we "follow" each other's lives from one big city to the other across the USA and engage with each other--- ALL THAT creepiness being said, her blog is  here .  ANYWAY, the whole point of that paragraph was that I felt, even though I rarely write/blog anymore, I should write a thankful/grateful post! I enjoy a good list so I will be listing these out- First and foremost, I don't care how gross you think I am but I am thankful for Almond Nog, Trader Joes' version of Almond Milk Egg Nog, don't know how it all works, but it's damn delicious and has been in my gingerbread ground coffee also from Trader Joes, every single morning this week!  Yes I am a sucker for seasonal flavors, I am what they call #basic, and I own it. AIR TRAVEL, even though I know LAX will be a complete cluster F tonight I am thankful that once I board

Currently Edition 4

Oh hello!  My last Currently  was in December! My how time has flown!  Already 11 days into April.  OH and FYI, it's been 105 years since Titanic's maiden voyage (NERD ALERT, if you have read my past blogs, you know I am a Titanic fan) and on April 14, it's been 105 years since she sunk.  Since I was 11 I have been remembering this date as if it should be a national day on calendars, to remember. ANYWAY...April 11! So much has happened since December.  Work pace has picked up, I am heading 3 brand new, and time consuming projects that are actually SO MUCH FUN and I am loving them.  But...alas this is not a blog about my job, it's about the going on's in my life! Here goes nothing... Drinking This isn't really as exciting when it's not a festive time of year...but the usualy, coffee from the Keurig in the AM with almond milk.. TONS of H2O throughout the day, I think I spend equal amounts of time at my desk and in the bathroom because I have to go alllll

More Rants, minimal Raves

Some things that have struck me as of late that have driven me to the point of wanting to write about them... here are some  rants and maybe one rave,  that have become part of my life as of late---(thank you to Allison who inspires these blog posts- check out her blog  here ) Articles that point out how unrealistic shows are that you LOVED since YEARS ago i.e.  CLICK HERE  and feast your eyes upon the perfect example.  Sex and The City was a favorite (still is, I repeat it OFTEN) of mine from the age of 16 until now.  And yes, back then my eyes saw a magical city, (NYC), amazing outfits, gorgeous shoes, and fantastic apartments.  Namely the main character, Carrie, worked like once a week, writing for the New York Star, and she lived in Manhattan, took a cab everywhere, and bought $800 shoes nearly every week.  I knew in the way back of my mind it wasn't realistic and I live a pretty realistic and budgeted life, so it's not like it ruined me, but WHY do these articles

Oh HI.

Oh I'm sorry (to whoever actually reads these) I haven't written in 3 months. T H R E E.  Well, life happens.  It was Christmas and traveling then it was New Years (which I actually just don't really care about the older I get) then it was adjusting to 2017 and embracing a new year, there was also ya know, a new President, boyfriends birthday then it was Valentine's Day (:/) then it was....WHO KNOWS, but in between all of that I have had some JAM PACKED DAYS, oh yeah and my boyfriend and I officially live together now, so there was a lot of moving and packing and donating and selling of belongings.  Oh and I went to Hawaii for a week in there and I wish more then anything that a vacation like that could just be life and I went into a dumb, and silly, and probably normal, depressed & melancholy state the moment we touched down in LA after leaving Maui.  Luckily my boyfriend was next to me on the plane to help me cope, it always helps when you feel like that to have s

Currently-Edition 3

December is in FULL swing and it is lovely.  I have done so many fun activities that have been so festive and joyful.  There are no bah-humbugs here! I even put up a Christmas tree for the FIRST time this year! So exciting, you have no idea.  I packed up my ornaments from my parents' house in Seattle and shipped em on down! So here we go with Currently-Edition 3. Woohoo! Here it is, nestled in the corner of my sweet, studio apartment!   Drinking Dry January is fast approaching, I will be doing a massive health kick as I am going to Hawaii on January 27th and I need to feel a little more...fit if you will? ;) So currently I am enjoying all beverages.  I try not to drink alcohol during the week but that is difficult given all the holiday festivities including my office party that is tomorrow night & a friend's 30th birthday celebration that is Friday! EEK! So a lot of water and the normal coffee routine during the weeks. Eating Healthy! TRYING!  Getting daily tr
